Baroness Sugg

Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, United Kingdom

Baroness Sugg was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport on 27 October 2017, with responsibility for Aviation, Security and International Trade. She was a Government Whip (Baroness in Waiting) from 15 June 2017, representing the Department for Transport, Department for International Trade and the Department for International Development. In August 2016 Baroness Sugg became a Conservative life peer and was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2015 Dissolution Honours. She worked in Downing Street for 6 years, serving as Director of Operations and Campaigns under David Cameron, and worked on David Cameron’s leadership campaign in 2005. Liz Sugg grew up and went to school in Surrey, before attending Newcastle University to study Politics and Economics.
