Ketil Solvik-Olsen

Minister of Transport and Communications, Norway

Ketil Solvik-Olsen was appointed Minister of Transport and Communications of Norway in October 2013. He studied economics and political science at the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. He worked as financial analyst and project manager at the shipping company Leif Höegh & Co ASA prior to being elected MP. Mr. Solvik-Olsen served as a Member of the Norwegian Parliament from 2005 to 2013, where he held several positions, including Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs and Member of the Standing Committee on Energy and Environment. Since 2013 he has also held the position as the 2nd Vice-chairman of The Progress Party.
