Gerd Neubeck

Representative of the Board for European and International Security Issues, Deutsche Bahn AG

Since 2016 Prof. Gerd Neubeck is the representative of the Board for Infrastructure of Deutsche Bahn for European and international security issues. He is a security expert and brings a broad set of experience in this role. After law school in Heidelberg Mr. Neubeck started in 1978 his professional career as judge and public prosecutor in Nürnberg and Dresden/Germany. From 2000- 2009 he served as Vice-President of the Berlin Police Force and organized a reshaping of the management structure for the 23.000 employees of German capital`s police. In 2009 - 2015 he was appointed as Chief Security Officer of Deutsche Bahn Group with responsibility for security of customers, employees and sites in more than 100 countries. Mr. Neubeck is chairman of the security platform of UIC and represents Deutsche Bahn in various boards and committees of railways and infrastructure associations. He is honarary professor of Berlin University for Economics and Law at security management faculty, concerned with transport security. Since 2010 he is chairman of the German Foundation  for Crime Prevention.
