Alexandre de Juniac

Director General and CEO, International Air Transport Association (IATA)

Alexandre de Juniac is the Director General and CEO of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He has led the association for the world's airlines since September 2016, after serving on the IATA Board of Governors from 2013-16. De Juniac was Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM (2013-16) and of Air France (2011-13). De Juniac’s aviation sector experience includes 14 years at French aerospace, space, defense, security and transportation company Thales and its predecessors. De Juniac has also held positions in the French government, where he served as Chief of Staff to then Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry Christine Lagarde (2009-11), in the Department of Budget (1993-95) and the Conseil d’Etat (State Council, 1988-93). A French citizen, de Juniac is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris and the Ecole Nationale de l’Administration.
